The Five Phases of Engagement
Marketing shouldn't feel like a guessing game. That’s why I’ve developed a five-phase process to take your business from scattered efforts to a clear, data-driven marketing strategy with seamless execution.

Phase 1
Deep Dive

Phase 2
Goal Setting

Phase 3
Brand Clarity

Phase 4
Strategic Plan

Phase 5
Ongoing Execution

PHASE 1
Deep-Dive Business Analysis & Competitive Audit
Weeks 0-2
Before we kick off, you’ll complete a Strategic Business Snapshot—a structured exercise designed to uncover hidden opportunities, challenges, and internal perceptions of your brand. We'll review during our first meeting, and use this as a foundation to guide:
-
The establishment of 1:1 stakeholder interviews to understand business priorities and challenges.
-
A full competitive analysis, evaluating positioning, messaging, and differentiators.
-
A comprehensive research deck, outlining industry insights and growth opportunities.

PHASE 2
Vision, KPI Alignment & Goal Setting
Weeks 3-4
To move forward, we need to be clear on what success looks like. We craft a tailored marketing strategy that aligns with your business objectives, defining clear KPIs and deliverables. This phase includes:
-
A KPI and Goal-Setting Workshop, where we define key success metrics based on past 6 quarters of performance.
-
A vision alignment session, ensuring the entire leadership team is on the same page about priorities and long-term objectives.
-
A clear scorecard for tracking progress throughout our engagement.

PHASE 3
Messaging & Brand Elevation
Weeks 5-6
This is where we refine your brand’s messaging and positioning to ensure clarity, consistency, and competitive strength:
-
A 90-minute messaging workshop to craft core brand narratives, audience personas, and key differentiators.
-
A refreshed brand guide, including voice/tone, messaging pillars, and visual identity alignment.
-
Review and refinement of logos, collateral, and core marketing materials to ensure a polished, professional presence.

PHASE 4
Annual Roadmap & Content Strategy
Weeks 7-8
With a solid foundation in place, we develop an actionable roadmap:
-
A 12-month marketing plan, integrating KPIs, seasonal trends, and business priorities.
-
A detailed content strategy, outlining key themes, campaigns, and execution plans.
-
Prioritization of marketing initiatives based on impact and resource availability.

PHASE 5
Ongoing Execution & Optimization
Ongoing
Now, we bring the strategy to life. As a fully embedded partner, I execute the plan while continuously refining and optimizing. Our ongoing engagement may include:
-
Biweekly strategy meetings/workshops, with priorities determined on an ongoing basis.
-
Sales coaching & enablement, ensuring alignment between marketing and revenue goals.
-
Monthly marketing execution, including:
-
2 social posts per week
-
1 blog post per month
-
1 newsletter per month
-
1 new collateral piece per month
-
Quarterly photoshoot to build an extensive content library
-
3 hours of flex time per month for website updates, event planning support, paid ad setup, or any other priorities as identified during our regular meetings.
-
This structure works best for most businesses but can be adjusted based on specific needs. Any modifications to this format will typically be uncovered during our discovery phase to ensure alignment with your unique business goals.
Investment
Because the first few months are so heavily involved, I generally require a 9-month minimum engagement before transitioning to a month-to-month plan—but in both cost and commitment, I always prioritize your needs and can offer value-based pricing and engagement durations.
Clients love this structure because they get a CMO-qualified marketing strategist for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire—and without the overhead. No benefits, no HR headaches—just strategic, results-driven marketing execution from someone fully embedded in your team.
